observers working with the CHEQ in every Arab

Quality
Reports
In addition to the reports received by the CHEQ
from our accredited observers, the
Council issues an annual report about the standard, the
positive and negative aspects of higher education in the
Arab countries, and including some general recommendations
annexed to the report. |

Accreditation
Accreditation of higher education institutions in the Arab
world, which operate under the system of distance education
only after they meet the
conditions and criteria established by the Council,
and accrediting
the education programs in those institutions.. |

Cooperation
with Quality Institutions
The CHEQ cooperates closely with a multiple of
outstanding quality institutions in the world, and provides
them with copies of the Council's annual reports. These
reports are also distributed to some Arab media means for
wider publication. |

CHEQ
Membership
Membership in the Council is open to all higher
education institutions in the Arab world and also to the
concerned and interested individuals. The Council
communicates with these institutions and individuals through
disseminating newsletters covering updated news of the
members and their experiences in Quality field, distributing
latest studies and reports, and holding of conferences and
workshops on Higher Education and other focused activities.
Further, the Council publishes studies and research
conducted by its members on Quality-related issues, and
posts them on the Council’s website. |

Need for Quality Observers
in Arab countries
The CHEQ seeks to work with academics from all over
the Arab countries, to engage as quality
observers. The Council wishes to affiliate at least
one person or one institution from every Arab country.
Responsibilities of Quality Observers:
A Quality observer must have a long-standing experience in
University academic affairs, and fair experience in report
writing, to be qualified to prepare biannual reports about
the standard of higher education institutions in the country
where the Observer is based. The
report shall underline the positive and negative aspects in
higher education system and practice.
The report must be transparent, realistic, and
evidence-based. In reporting, the Observer
may make use of recent studies and statistics about this
subject, making mention of reference sources. The
Observer's reports will be posted
on the Council’s electronic website.
As well, the names and CVs of the Quality
Observers will be published on a special webpage on
the Council’s website. The observer will be granted free
membership in the Arab Academy for Research and Studies.
Observers reports try to shed
light on the current situation of our higher education
institutions, in endeavor to put pressure on these
institutions to promote developing and carrying out a
coherent reform process.
Interested intuitions or individuals should fill in an
application form and email it with their CVs plus one recent
personal photograph to the following address:
cheq.edu@gmail.com
The board of the council will screen applications and select
appropriate as criteria for the adoption of the observers.
The advantages of working with the CHEQ:
1- The Observer will obtain fame and reputation in the
academic media in his country at least.
2- Observer's resume and reports would be published on
CHEQ's website.
3- Selected observers should have intensive training to
provide him with the necessary information about the ways
and methods of dealing with work requirements.
4- Observers get a very good experience in quality field and
assurance and reports writing.
5- Observers granted free membership in the Arab Academy of
Research and Studies for the duration of the work with
CHEQ.
